Hot Child in the City

With just a little over two months until Savannah Pride! Fest 2008, the pride board is working very hard to make this year’s event one that will go down in the city’s history and fabulous

Now is not the time to take a break, as we will be hosting the Tybee Beach Party on Saturday August, 2 2008, from 11a.m. till 4 p.m. at Tybee Island Memorial Park, which is located directly behind Tybee Island City Hall. There is a fee of $25, you will get to enjoy a Low-Country Boil, hamburgers, hot dogs with all the fixings, and all you can drink beer!!!

Friday, August 8, 2008 Club One will be the location of the Mr. Savannah Pride Contest. We hope to see several Drag Kings compete for this year’s title. The show will start at 10:30. The winner of the contest will be crowned Mr. Savannah Pride and will take the crown from Matt Martinez and carry out duties throughout till after Savannah Pride 2009.

Saturday August 16, 2008 the Purple Party, The Spirit Party will be taking place at Venus de Milo on M.L. King Blvd 9 p.m. till 2 a.m. We will have our traditional Jell-o Shots, raffles, I’m A Giver Campaign. Funds raised through the color parties goes towards the expense of Savannah Pride Festival.

Watch for details coming up on a new color party for Savannah Pride! White Parties have been around but one has not been held in conjunction as a fundraiser for Savannah Pride. It will be held after the Purple Party but before Savannah Pride Fest.

In order to make this years festival just as good as those that preceded it, community support is needed in various forms including volunteering, sponsorship, vendors, and donations; both monetary and in-kind.
