GAY MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP

First City Network and Savannah host Socials, Pot Lucks and now a Gay Men’s Heart Circle but none of these venues allow gay men of different ages and backgrounds to meet in a safe and nurturing space to share their stories as well as hear and learn from others. John Martin from Swainsboro, GA contacted FCN via City Line (FCN’s information telephone line: 912-236-2489) and asked if there was a gay men’s support group in the area. As the monitor of City Line I got the call and talked to John, explained what we did offer and as none of that really fit his needs, John and I decided to start a support group for gay men.

So, the Gay Men’s Support Group is now scheduled to meet at 7 PM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Los Robles, 101 East 34th Street, Savannah, GA 31401. The first meeting was Wednesday, November 19th. At that meeting the general outline and direction was discussed and outlined and will be published in the January FCN Network News.
